We’re on a mission to handcraft eco-friendly rings from sustainably sourced timbers—rings that celebrate your story and stand the test of time. Each wooden ring is lovingly created in our NSW workshop, blending traditional craftsmanship with modern techniques.
We believe every ring should tell a story. Whether it’s timber from your hometown, sand from your first kiss, or wood representing your family’s heritage, you won’t be left without a ring that you’ll absolutely love. Locally made since 2014, we’re committed to quality, sustainability, and creating pieces that last a lifetime.
Our Story
We are wooden ring makers. Mostly. Sometimes we make other things from wood. And sometimes we make rings that aren’t from wood—gold, silver, platinum, tungsten, and titanium all find their way into our designs. But wood? Wood is still our favourite material to work with.
Wooden Ring Store began in 2014 as an Etsy shop. It still exists there. The concept came about when I—Vasja, the founder—was planning to propose to my girlfriend (now wife). I’m from the green mountains of Slovenia, and Nally’s from sunny Sydney. We met as backpackers in Rio de Janeiro in 2008, both harbouring secret crushes, until fate brought us together again in Australia a year later.
After three years of romantic long-distance relationship, I found myself wondering: “How do I propose?” and “What kind of ring captures our story?” That’s when the idea of a wooden ring sparked. My dad had worked in the wood industry his whole career, and we had timber lying around the house. I selected European ash and Asian teak—representing our origins and Nally’s Vietnamese family heritage.
I combined these woods, booked a flight to Australia, and proposed at Little Marley Beach. (I didn’t know it was a favourite spot for nudists at the time, but that’s beside the point!) She said yes, even though she was a bit distracted. Fast-forward to now: we’re a family of four with two dogs, and that original wooden ring helped us get where we are today.

What Makes Us Different
We’re family-run and have been perfecting our craft since 2014. While wooden rings are our speciality, we’ve expanded to create intricate designs incorporating silver, gold, and platinum with gemstone settings. What sets us apart? Custom wood combinations. We can craft rings using sand from your favourite beach, wood from the park where you first met, or timber representing your family’s roots.
We source wood from all over Australia and around the world, always ensuring sustainability. Each ring is a testament to our dedication to quality, handcrafted with love and just a dash of whimsy.
